The L word

I worked with Pam for  6 years on the L Word and the color Pam was matched to the one I mixed for her daily.  When the EP suddenly decided to create her own L word makeup line (never came to fruition) I was told, via a letter from legal, that I could no longer, as promised, use the character names. It was one day before printing.  I was in trailer having a cry - when Pam came in and said - " Girl... our names will be around a lot longer than these characters - call the products after us."  I was so humbled I can't tell you and I am eternally grateful for her kindness and class.   * all makeups shown done by myself "

On a personal note Pam is one of the most genuine, thoughtful and talented women I have ever worked with. She has a heart of gold and looks after a huge family - always ready to uplift someone's journey. Learning of her experiences, has also taught me that Canadians are racist, that we come from our own entitlement - She was stopped at the airport by Canadian customs on a weekly basis - almost every trip for 6 years  and she has called me out when I offered her some of the darker tones for a charity in Colorado telling me to call someone in Toronto - which I did.  Pam and Paul Edwards, the hairdresser on the show had and have a special bond and friendship, and it was lovely to witness. Our trailer was a lot of fun!!
